We are seeking a Junior Investment Operations Specialist in Omaha that will assist with the operational needs of our investment desk along with three other experienced individuals. This position is for a growing team in Omaha with an award winning, top-tier firm under the Private Client Group umbrella. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is critical. Responsibilities include working with clients through the account opening process, cashiering requests, client information updates, and trading on the brokerage platform.
The Junior Investment Operations Specialist will occasionally interact with clients, and will help ensure the maintenance of an efficient, organized office that allows the representative to focus his/her energy on building client relationships.
Investment Operations Specialist will be expected to maintain an understanding of market conditions, trends, and overall economic outlook that will be communicated regularly in team meetings. Specialist will be expected to ensure compliance with NM and industry rules regarding investor disclosure, privacy laws, anti-money laundering requirements and anti-fraud measures.
Processing Accounts- Preparing and processing all paperwork needed for investment accounts
- Implementing initial and subsequent asset allocation trades
- Executing trade instructions in NetX
360 and maintaining appropriate asset allocation - Following up on trade rejections and resolving all trade-related issues
- Monitoring holdings for program eligibility
- Corresponding with clients to handle investment related service issues
- Accepting redemptions/withdrawals from clients and communicate instructions to home office
- Discussing potential tax consequences, costs, and account fees
- Maintaining daily task reminder system for account follow-ups and service requirements
- Running performance reports Morningstar and NMCIR
- Handle case notes, processing correspondence, maintaining client case files and filing performance reports, account forms, and other paperwork
- Responding to home office account inquiries
- Ensuring NMIS and NMWMC compliance requirements are implemented and followed
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (preferred)
- At least 1 year experience with specific focus on investment operations
- Series 7 and 63 licensed or gain licensing in 1 year
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Desire to obtain further credentialing within the industry (CFP, CLU, ChFC, WMCP, RICP, etc.) by obtaining a professional designation
- Experience with NetX
360 and the Pershing Platform (preferred) - Ability to maintain and respect the privacy and confidentiality of all clients and their accounts
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications, data entry and information retrieval software
