Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting & Finance

On behalf of our client, Ignyte AI is looking to hire a Controller in the Greater Boston Area. The Controller position represents a critical role in establishing and managing financial infrastructure for a growing healthcare practice.

This position assumes full ownership of all bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting functions and both enabling and collaborating with the executive team to focus on strategic growth initiatives. The Controller will manage Quick Books and lead the essential transition from cash-basis to accrual/GAAP accounting.

This comprehensive role encompasses accounts receivable follow-up, accounts payable processing, monthly financial reporting, employee expense management, member invoicing coordination, benefits administration, and oversight of insurance billing operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or Senior Accountant role
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, particularly in medical practices, physician groups, or healthcare services organizations
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidated financial reporting
• Proven expertise in Quick Books with hands-on bookkeeping and financial management experience
• Experience with cash-to-accrual or GAAP conversion projects highly desirable
• Experience with payroll administration and employee benefits management beneficial
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Experience implementing or working with accounts receivable management software and electronic payment systems
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements beneficial
• Strong technical accounting skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote work environment

• $160K base $10K bonus
