Accounting Manager needed for a high growth company offering a 2 day remote work model.
Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager will lead accounting activities related to transactional revenue streams and associated operating expenses within a high-volume operating environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, expense recording, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
The position oversees the month-end close process for designated revenue channels and related cost areas, partnering closely with Operations, Finance, and Data teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.
This role manages complex data-driven accounting processes and plays a key role in strengthening controls, improving processes, and supporting a scalable accounting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the accounting and month-end close process for designated transactional revenue streams and related operating expenses
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Ensure revenue and related costs are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Oversee accruals, estimates, and adjustments related to high-volume daily transactions
- Analyze revenue and expense trends and provide meaningful insights to Finance leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, and systems teams to validate financial data completeness and accuracy
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls over revenue and expense processes
- Lead balance sheet reconciliation reviews and resolve reconciling items timely
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the close cycle
- Mentor and develop staff accountants and senior accountants
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience managing or reviewing month-end close activities
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles
- Experience working with high-volume transactional environments
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Public accounting background (audit or advisory)
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience supporting operational or consumer-driven revenue models
- Ownership of complex revenue and operational accounting areas
- High visibility across Finance and Operations leadership
