ARC Group is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for our client in Tulsa, OK. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with time in the corporate office. The ideal candidate will bring extensive federal income tax experience with a strong emphasis on partnership taxation and complex tax projects.
Position SummaryThe Tax Manager is responsible for managing federal and state income tax–related projects, with a primary focus on partnership income tax. This role oversees income tax compliance and calculations for multiple joint venture tax partnerships and leads special projects related to tax structuring, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic business transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage income tax calculations and compliance for multiple joint venture tax partnerships.
- Lead income tax projects including tax restructuring, due diligence, transactional analysis, and tax modeling with a focus on partnership taxation.
- Provide income tax guidance related to acquisitions, divestitures, and other business transactions.
- Research complex technical income tax matters and prepare supporting documentation.
- Develop and implement effective income tax strategies for complex transactions.
- Plan, execute, and monitor short-term and long-term tax projects.
- Review complex income tax returns, quarterly and annual tax provisions, and modeling calculations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline and enhance tax processes.
- Delegate and manage staff to resolve complex tax issues and ensure timely project completion.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather and analyze data supporting income tax calculations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant federal income tax experience required.
- Extensive experience with partnership taxation required.
- Prior experience managing income tax special projects from planning through completion preferred.
- Federal income tax manager experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal income tax, with emphasis on partnership taxation.
- Proven leadership skills with strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through execution and completion.
- Excellent research, analytical, and tax writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to supervise, lead, and delegate effectively across teams.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
