Assistant Accountant

Your new role As an Assistant Accountant, you will support a team of qualified accountants across a wide range of finance activities.

Reporting to an Accountant within your specialist area, you will play a key role in accurate and timely financial management, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain financial records and prepare journals Complete reconciliations across various accounts Analyse financial data to support decision-making Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Contribute to capital accounting activities, including asset register updates Provide support with treasury tasks such as cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliations Assist with grant management, including invoicing, claims and expenditure monitoring Support internal and external audit processes Offer guidance to junior team members Ensure compliance with organisational policies, GDPR and financial regulations You may work within Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Capital Accounting, or Treasury Management, with opportunities to rotate and broaden your experience.
