A well-established and growing financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join their team and support the Head of Risk. The Role As Risk Manager, you will support the oversight and development of the operational risk framework across the organisation. You will ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed effectively while supporting the business with practical risk solutions. Working closely with the Head of Risk and key stakeholders you will oversee risk assessments, monitor controls and lead initiatives that improve risk processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Support the identification, assessment and monitoring of operational risks across the business Manage and maintain operational risk registers and risk assessments Conduct business impact assessments and ensure appropriate controls are implemented Perform quarterly second line control reviews and develop action plans where risks are identified Lead the annual operational risk mapping process using Basel risk categories Test the effectiveness of first line controls and recommend improvements where required Conduct root cause analysis following operational events and support mitigation strategies Promote a strong risk aware culture across the organisation Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve risk management processes Support ad hoc projects including segregation of duties analysis Liaise with group stakeholders on new and emerging risk management practices Provide line management and development support to junior team members About You Minimum 5 years of experience within operational or enterprise risk management Degree educated ideally within business, economics or another numerate discipline Experience working within financial services or a regulated environment Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks and control environments Experience conducting risk assessments, control testing and risk mapping Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the business Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage priorities Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills The Offer Salary £60k to £65k Car Hybrid working with 2 days working from home Excellent benefits package Opportunity to play a key role within a growing financial services organisation Supportive leadership and strong career development potential Apply Now If you are an experienced Operational Risk professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
