What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, supporting individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
  • Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources to develop pricing recommendations
  • Document assumptions, methods, sources, and considerations in an organized manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support and participate in peer reviews for quality assurance

    Provide mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues, depending on experience
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of post‑bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Or a graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 3 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams

    Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Expert‑level problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations
  • In‑depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and the insurance marketplace
  • Active participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
