Actuarial Analyst

CANNEX provides independent pricing and analytic services for retirement savings and retirement income products in the U.S. and Canadian markets. Asan Actuarial Programmer,you willbe responsible for working with clientstoassess and analyze their retirement income product sand needsand program the necessary pricing algorithms and calculations within the CANNEXframework and environment.

You will apply your mathematical and programming experience to supporttheimplementation and maintenance of lifetime income products.

This is an early‑career role ideal for a junior actuary or analytically strong programmer with actuarial interest.

As part of asmaller size organization, you will work closely with senior leadership and see the direct impact of your work on product development and client solutions.

• Perform the analysis and modeling of retirement products as part of the actuarial team
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support solution development
• Assess and translate externalproductworkbooks and illustrations (via Excel and other languages)
• Perform the programming of products within the CANNEX framework using the programming languages deployed by the business (e.g., C and others)
• Support various implementation and maintenance projects while tracking timelines and deliverables
• Support the operations and development initiatives of the broader CANNEX business
• Support the design and development of retirement product analysis toolsand services
• Aid internal and external users of the CANNEX platform
• Research and help solve actuarial programming challenges, seeking guidance when needed
• Contribute to evaluating and improving existing frameworks
• Participate in team knowledge-sharing initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Finance,Actuarial or related fields (including Computer Science) with exposure in applying technology discipline sand techniques.
• Minimum2 – 3 years of experience within a testing discipline relating to product or pricing implementations
• Progress toward ASA designation preferred

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Basicproficiencyin C/C++or similar programming languages(foundational understanding required; full training provided to become proficient within our framework)
• Knowledge andability to apply life contingent models and concepts(training and support provided)
• Ability towork effectively in adeadline-oriented environment and communicate effectively internally and externally
• Willingness to learn and grow technical and actuarialormathematiccapabilities

• Pay range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000.Individual salary isdeterminedby factors such as job-related knowledge,skillsand experience, as well as internal equity.
• Our office is located in midtown Toronto.
  
  Employees have theoptionto work from home or the office most days but mustresidein Ontario. In-person meetings and events are held in our office on a regular basiswhichemployees are expected to attend.
