BMW Financial Services/Alphabet is looking for a Credit Specialist who looks beyond just numbers. You analyse risks, identify opportunities and contribute to a solid credit policy that allows our business to grow safely and sustainably.

As Credit Specialist, you are responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring credit risks. You combine analytical sharpness with a pragmatic approach and ensure that signals are recognised in time and translated into concrete actions. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to the stability and growth of our activities in Belgium and Luxembourg.

• Maintain the local Credit Management Guideline.
• Develop and maintain the local Early Warning System to detect early credit risks in our customer portfolio.
• Take responsibility for problem loan management.
• Review both new and existing customers for creditworthiness, focusing on strategic fleet customers and BMW Group dealers in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Prepare and present credit applications to local and international credit committees.
• Liaise with HQ departments for cases beyond local competence.
• Improve processes between the credit and commercial departments relating to the credit process.
• Identify efficiency issues and propose improvements.
• Become the local expert in the credit rating systems used and lead digitalisation efforts within the team.

• A degree in business economics or equivalent experience.
• Several years of relevant experience in consumer credit, corporate credit, audit, accounting, or risk management.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous working methods, with thorough documentation as a key element.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel (knowledge of VBA/Macro is an advantage) and quick adaptability to IT tools.
• A results‑oriented, independent approach while being a committed team player.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
