Location
Office days: 1‑2 days per week in‑office, with flexibility for remote work. Alternate locations may be considered if the candidate resides within commuting distance. Candidates not within reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
How You Will Make An Impact- Performs key actuarial functions related to cost of care, understanding impact of provider and government regulation changes and special projects.
- Designs and completes special projects such as understanding changes in cost and utilization at a claim level.
- Educates and makes recommendations on changes in expense and utilization that impact the profitability of the business.
- Develops, maintains and analyzes reporting to support special projects and shares findings regularly with market and project leadership.
Requires a BA/BS degree and has passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of one year related experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences- Technical background in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and actuarial software tools.
- Experience working with large administrative claims datasets and healthcare cost/utilization metrics.
- Ability to apply actuarial judgment and statistical techniques to interpret and explain complex trends.
The salary range for this position is $74,880.00 to $.
