Position: Contract Loan Processor

We’re seeking an experienced and licensed Contract Loan Processor to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring loan files are processed accurately and efficiently from submission to closing. If you’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a remote environment with flexible hours, we’d love to work with you.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in reviewing loan documentation, income calculations, and can really WOW our clients.

The most important attribute we are looking for is someone who will make our clients feel like they are VIPs and are willing to go the extra mile to meet deadlines with our lender partners.

This position is a Hybrid, contract position with Houzd Mortgage. Only experienced/licensed loan processors may apply.

You can expect to earn $80,000 to $100,000 per year, working directly with our Loan Officers!

What You’ll Do:
  • Review and process residential mortgage loan files from initial submission through closing
  • Verify loan documents, income, assets, credit reports, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and investor guidelines
  • Collaborate with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Closers to resolve file issues and move loans forward
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with clients, title companies, and internal teams
  • Ensure timely ordering of third‑party services (appraisals, verifications, insurance, etc.)
  • Track and meet contract deadlines while managing multiple files at once
  • Maintain accurate notes and documentation in the loan origination system
What We’re Looking For:
  • Active mortgage processing license required
  • Minimum 3‑4 years of loan processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency with LOS platforms (Encompass preferred) and related mortgage software
  • Independent, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a remote, contract‑based role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
