What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
  • Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis and develop recommendations for pricing
  • Document assumptions, methods, and findings in an organized manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support
  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues, depending on experience
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Or a graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 3 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation abilities
  • In-depth actuarial industry knowledge and understanding of the insurance marketplace
  • Active participation in shaping company culture through employee resource groups or volunteering
