Sage Intacct Optimization Consultant

1 year term, may extend. Remote role with occasional on site presence (approximately 2 times per month, East Toronto). $55-65/hour.

We are hiring on behalf of our client as they continue to modernize and elevate their Finance function. This is a transformation focused role, not maintenance accounting. The organization is optimizing Sage Intacct, improving reporting visibility, and strengthening finance processes to support better operational decision making. They are seeking a consultant who can enhance system utilization, streamline workflows, and drive meaningful improvements across core finance operations.

• Assessing and optimizing key finance processes including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report
• Mapping workflows and developing scalable, standardized procedures and documentation
• Leading optimization and automation initiatives within Sage Intacct
• Improving reporting accuracy, KPI tracking, dashboards, and financial visibility
• Enhancing receivables, invoicing, and journal entry workflows
• Supporting training initiatives to improve internal adoption and effective system usage

Our client operates within the community services space and is actively investing in modernizing its finance infrastructure. The mandate is clear: improve structure, increase efficiency, enhance reporting transparency, and enable stronger organizational decision making through better systems and processes.

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years progressive finance experience
• Direct experience supporting finance transformation or system optimization initiatives
• Strong understanding of core finance cycles (P2P, O2C, R2R)
• Hands on Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred
• Experience with in non profit, public sector, or healthcare environments is an asset
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally

• Primarily remote work environment with limited onsite requirements (2 times per month)
