The main function of this role is to lead actuarial functions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on evaluating new business opportunities. The Senior Manager, Actuarial will execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods and receive support through an actuarial study program designed to motivate and support you through your exams. This role reports to the Vice President, Actuarial.
Day‑to‑DayResponsibilities
- Review contracts to find instances of client non‑compliance and quantify the value of such non‑compliance.
- Audit the data received for risk partnerships to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Review material changes impacting risk settlements and quantify the impact.
- Communicate instances of non‑compliance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a team of one analyst.
- Partner with finance, client success, and growth functions to identify data‑driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
- Present models and deliver insights/expertise to a diverse audience and communicate analyses and results to internal and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7+ years experience in actuarial services, healthcare economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in Medicare Advantage.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
- Internet connectivity – minimum speeds: 3.8 Mbps / 3.0 Mbps (up/down) with latency
