Assistant Controller (Hybrid – San Antonio)

Compensation: $120,000–$130,000

A rapidly growing, mission-driven healthcare organization (currently $50M in revenue with 40% projected growth) is seeking an Assistant Controller to strengthen its accounting operations, elevate processes, and support the company’s continued expansion. Month-End Close

• Lead and manage a timely, accurate month-end close process
• Ensure financial statements meet GAAP standards

Process Improvements

• Strengthen accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency

Key Projects

• Lease Accounting (ASC 842): Manage compliance across 30+ leases
• Fixed Assets: Build a complete Fixed Asset system, including policies and SOPs

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Certifications:

• CPA or CMA strongly preferred

Experience:

• Strong GAAP and corporate audit background
• Multi-site healthcare or private equity–backed growth environment experience preferred
• Proven success leading implementation initiatives and process improvements
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
