Annuity Actuarial Analytics - Actuarial Analyst III

The Actuarial Analyst III role is an advanced position for actuarial professionals who have demonstrated significant experience, technical expertise, and continued progress toward actuarial credentials. Building on prior roles, this position requires a high level of independence and judgment. Analysts at this level perform and communicate highly complex actuarial analyses, including pricing, reserving, financial forecasting, and advanced modeling, while also contributing to strategic initiatives.

They serve as technical leaders within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and collaborating across departments to deliver actionable insights. Work is reviewed only minimally, as the Analyst III is expected to operate as a subject matter expert and drive innovation within actuarial functions.

A key responsibility of this position includes supporting and enhancing the work of the modeling team by developing, refining, and maintaining sophisticated models that drive business decisions

What You'll Do:

• Applies fundamental actuarial principles in analyzing company and industry data to prepare actuarial analyses in accordance with the "SOA code of Professional Conduct" and the Actuarial Standards of Practice.

• Prepares summaries of actuarial analyses for distribution to Home Office and Field management, other American National departments, consultants, reinsurers, and regulators.
• Completes processes to perform and document actuarial analyses promptly and accurately.
• Begins to assist less experienced analysts with spreadsheets, databases, and sources of data used in actuarial analyses.
• Prepares for and progresses in the SOA examinations through on-the-job and home study.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree.
• One to two years of experience.
• Completion of 3 or more actuarial exams

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
