Investment Accounting Lead Finance Derivative Analyst -Remote

• Perform and lead investment accounting activities related to derivative instruments, including futures, options, and swaps
• Conduct hedge effectiveness testing and document regression testing methodology
• Prepare and analyse journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules related to derivatives
• Provide monthly accounting and reporting for the derivative portfolio in accordance with US GAAP and Statutory accounting
• Mentor and provide guidance to other analysts on the Investment Accounting team

• Minimum educational requirement:
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment accounting and derivative instruments
• Strong understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
• Advanced analytical tool proficiency, including Excel and at least one statistical or data analysis tool
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills

• Advanced degree or professional designation such as CPA
• Experience accounting for derivatives within an insurance company or large financial institution
• Familiarity with investment accounting systems and financial reporting tools
• Familiarity with AI tools
• Experience reviewing quantitative analysis prepared by external consultants
