The Finance Manager at WMCC is responsible for general accounting functions including administering approved accounting practices throughout the organization.

- Assure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect WMCC’s financial condition and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.
- Responsible for overall management of WMCC accounting operations.
- Ensures WMCC billing services meet required state and federal regulations as well as generally acceptable accounting procedures.
- Maintains procedures for reviewing budgetary limitations on certain operating expenses and capital.
- Maintains a system of cash flow management for the organization.
- Exercises independent judgement over finance department budget and functions.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent from an accredited college or university required, CPA and/or master’s degree in accounting preferred.
A minimum of five years’ similar experience in accounting, preferably in healthcare or non-profit organization. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred. Proficiency with personal computers and software systems related to accounting and operations a must. Experience in using Sage accounting software and/or Paycor Payroll software is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management, employees, and peers.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to use critical thinking to interpret, comprehend and complete complicated and detailed projects in a timely manner. Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently. High degree of integrity to keep confidential all information related to WMCC patients, employees, physicians, and institution related information. Ability to accept and apply feedback.
