Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a temporary Finance Officer to join our Finance & Procurement service., To support the Finance Manager and the Assistant Finance Manager in carrying out their responsibilities to provide an accurate and timely financial service. Including assisting with the preparation of detailed budgets, monitoring reports and final accounts, and raising and receipting Purchase Orders on the Authority's Purchasing system, We are committed to developing our people and will not only provide support to enable you to quickly and confidently take ownership of this role's key areas of responsibility but in addition, we are committed to supporting your development in order that you can progress your career with us.

- Support the Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager in carrying out responsibilities to provide accurate and timely financial service.
- Assist with preparation of detailed budgets, monitoring reports, and final accounts.
- Raise and receipting Purchase Orders on the Authority's Purchasing system.
- Work with internal & external contacts and manage conflicting workloads and work to deadlines.
- Carry out tasks with high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism with minimum supervision.
- Use intermediate Excel skills to create comprehensive spreadsheets for monitoring and reconciliation.
- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal & external contacts.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize conflicting workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism with minimum supervision.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to create comprehensive spreadsheets.
- Fluency in Welsh required.
