Responsibilities- Administer the monthly reporting cycle for the Operations group and coordinate monthly meetings to review financial results, fully understanding business events and market trends.
- Prepare monthly analysis of actual results and compare them to forecasts and budget, explain discrepancies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Operations group team to provide necessary support for the preparation of financial analysis for effective management of its activities.
- Prepare key performance indicators, supporting management and finance team with forecasts, budgets and other required analysis.
- Participate in the forecasting and budgeting process and lead initiatives to continually improve and automate the tools used.
- Prepare a detailed budget by business unit and review it with business partners.
- Change financial forecasts following monthly analysis and discussions with different business partners.
- Prepare various ad hoc requirements for the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Support the finance team with month‑end closing procedures and the preparation of monthly management reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or administration.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- CPA designation an asset.
- Bilingualism (French/English) both oral and written.
- Strong analytical thinking.
- Autonomous and proactive.
- Knowledge and proficiency in accounting and financial systems and software; knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
