ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join a team that helps ensure employers receive accurate and timely workers compensation coverage. As an Assigned Risk Analyst, you’ll evaluate residual market eligibility applications, interpret guidelines, and make informed decisions that support compliance and smooth policy issuance by assigned carriers. This role aligns well with someone who enjoys analytical work, problem‑solving, and providing excellent client support.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE:

  • Impactful Work: Make a difference by assessing eligibility, applying industry rules, and issuing accurate binder packages that support a seamless policy issuance for our customers
  • Customer Impact: Serve as a trusted resource for agents, carriers, and employers by providing clear, confident explanations of regulatory requirements
  • Professional Growth: Participate in special projects, process improvements, and training initiatives designed to help you develop your skills and create a career path
  • Exceptional Benefits: A comprehensive total rewards package hard to find in the south Florida market with coverage beginning on your first day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

ANALYZE APPLICATIONS:

  • Analyze applications, confirm eligibility, and issue binders for qualified risks.
  • Validate classifications, pricing programs, and estimated premiums to prevent premium leakage.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and apply guidelines to nuanced scenarios.

CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Communicate with agents, carriers, and employers to resolve inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Interpret and apply filed rules—including Basic Manual and Residual Market guidelines—often requiring state‑specific research.

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT

  • Participate in departmental initiatives, projects, training, and system testing.
  • Develop and conduct presentations

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum 1 year in a customer-facing, analytical role (relevant internship or pertinent education may be considered).

  • Ability to do independent research, interpret regulatory guidelines, make independent decisions, and explain outcomes to clients.
  • Ability to work independently to meet or exceed department metrics on quality, production, timeliness, and phone compliance.

WHAT IS PREFERRED:

  • 3+ years in an analytical, client service position in industries such as insurance, finance, banking, or industries with transferable skills.
  • General understanding of workers’ compensation insurance or insurance industry experience
  • Industry course work or designations such as AIS, AU, CPCU
