You’ll be supervised by the chief accountant and will perform a range of tasks for our Finance and Accounting department. Your responsibilities will include month-end processes, various monthly and quarterly analyses, budget variance reviews and other related duties.

You’ll be supervised by the chief accountant and will perform a range of tasks for our Finance and Accounting department. Your responsibilities will include month-end processes, various monthly and quarterly analyses, budget variance reviews and other related duties.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...

• Carry out month-end accounting, mainly:
• Posting various journal entries in the ERP system for payroll expenses, accounts receivable, accruals, bank loans and finance leases
• Performing account analyses, reconciling the general ledger (GL) and updating debt and fixed asset continuity schedules
• Reconciling and eliminating cross-company transactions
• Preparing and producing month-end reports
• Helping prepare the consolidated financial statements
• Conduct several monthly management analyses, mainly of salaries and other expenses, hours and productivity as well as budget variances
• Perform ad hoc analyses for managers
• Produce quarterly management analyses for executive committees
• Support the year-end external audit
• Participate in the annual budgeting cycle

Summary Of Certifications And

Job Requirements

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, with corporate accounting experience (not necessarily in auditing)
• Three to five years of experience managing the full accounting cycle
• Experience working in a professional services firm and in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
• Asset: knowledge of the Maconomy ERP system
