Tree Line Capital Partners, LLC (“Tree Line” or “TLCP”) is seeking to hire up to two Credit Analysts in its San Francisco office, with a target start date in February 2026.
TLCP’s Credit Analyst Program is an intensive two-year entry-level program focused on leadership and analytical skills. The program work will concentrate primarily on asset management, underwriting and corporate projects. The program combines dedicated account management responsibilities with a variety of team-based projects to equip Credit Analysts with exceptional technical, financial and business skills. The program will offer opportunities to gain exposure to asset management, underwriting and various fund management initiatives.
Upon successful completion of the Credit Analyst Program, select top performers will be invited to join TLCP’s Associate Program.
Credit Analysts at TLCP act as the primary day‑to‑day leaders for account management and will be assigned up to 12 portfolio accounts. Primary responsibilities will be to provide monitoring and analytical support, including financial statement analysis, covenant compliance analysis and overall risk and trend analysis. The account management deliverables will be completed on a monthly basis and Credit Analysts will present the status of their accounts to the Investment Committee on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Credit Analysts will also be assigned to new asset underwritings where activities will include financial analysis, model development, underwriting analysis, industry research, and the preparation of memos and presentations utilized during the due diligence phase of an investment. Credit Analysts interact daily with other TLCP investment professionals to support not only the investment side of the business but fundraising and other strategic initiatives.
Credit Analysts play a central role in coordinating the activities of all team members.
- Undergraduate Bachelors’ Degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, etc.).
- At least one year of experience preferred in investment and/or commercial banking, accounting, or consulting. Recently graduated candidates will be considered but will have completed an Undergraduate Bachelors’ Degree in Business as well as relevant internships in finance and investing.
- Superior academic achievement with demonstrated interest or competency in finance including command of financial statement analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
- Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling, financial statement analysis as well as critical thinking and problem solving.
- Natural curiosity regarding investing in general and private markets.
- Excellent organization, communication, and research skills with the ability to succinctly express and present ideas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, and Word)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues of all levels as well as an ability to interact with borrowers and private equity sponsors.
- Strong ability to juggle priorities, multi‑task and take ownership of projects is essential.
Compensation will be competitive with market, consisting of a base salary of between $80,000 and $115,000 commensurate with experience, as well as an annual discretionary bonus (pro‑rated based on a start date within the calendar year), depending on experience, personal performance and company performance.
