ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with Government and State agency billing requirements, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the daily activities related to managing, reporting and filing submissions to governmental agencies, such as USAC and CPUC, as well as customers.
This position works closely with internal and external partners to resolve issues and to maintain accuracy and timeliness of billing, collections and cash applications. This position will report directly to the Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide support to Manager, Supervisor, Billing Specialist, and Cash Application team in the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable functions in accordance with established controls
- Act as team escalation point for billing issues to customers, E-Rate consultants, Client Services and internal stakeholders to accomplish daily responsibilities and resolve issues
- Research and resolve E-Rate, CTF and customer AR aging issues, working with the Collections team
- Provide cash application support promptly and accurately to minimize unapplied cash
- Prepare customer account reconciliations as required
- Learn E-Rate, Rural Health Care (RHC), and California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) processes
- Support inquiries from internal, external and governmental auditors
- Assist in the enhancement and documentation of departmental processes
- Summarize data for management review and analysis
- Review contracts to ensure invoices align with supporting documentation
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related deliverables as needed
- Maintain alignment with company policies and procedures and compliance with SOX
- Maintain team metrics ensuring volume achievement and quality control
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and cross-functional business partners
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 0 - 2+ years experience in accounting/Finance environment required
- Strong MS Excel experience
- Ability to organize and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Where You Will Work
This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.

Compensation
The pay range offered for this position is $26.25 - $36.06 per hour. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
