Portfolio Insights Analyst – contract position with pay rates of $50–$200/hour based on experience. Remote work is available. Candidates should have relevant finance experience and certifications such as CFA or CPA.

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Portfolio Insights Analysts. This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process. Once approved, Portfolio Insights Analysts:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
• Gain access to live portfolio data and paid analytical work
• Support investors, fund managers, and operators in monitoring, evaluating, and optimizing portfolio performance
• Build a verified track record of portfolio analysis and Analyst Rating Score

• Senior Portfolio Insights Analyst
• Lead Portfolio Insights Analyst
• Portfolio Insights Analyst / Associate

• Senior Portfolio Insights Analyst
  Rating Score: 90–100
  Pay: $150–200/hour
  Typical Background:
  Ex-investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or fund operations professionals with 5+ years of experience in portfolio performance analysis, strategic reporting, or investment operations

  Rating Score: 80–89
  Pay: $100–150/hour
  Typical Background:
  Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in portfolio analytics, fund reporting, or investment insights
• Portfolio Insights Analyst / Associate
  Rating Score: 60–79
  Pay: $50–100/hour
  Typical Background:
  Entry to mid-level analysts with strong data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling skills

• Portfolio Analysis & Reporting – Monitor portfolio-level performance metrics, KPIs, and risk exposure; analyze historical and projected returns to generate actionable insights; conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis; benchmark portfolios against industry or market standards
• Investment & Operational Support – Assist in investment committee reporting and presentations; support LP and investor reporting with accurate portfolio summaries; provide operational analysis of fund-level cash flows, allocation efficiency, and capital utilization
• Strategic Insights – Translate portfolio-level data into actionable recommendations for investors and fund managers; highlight performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across investments; develop dashboards and reporting templates for ongoing portfolio monitoring

Analysts may only perform work in categories for which they are explicitly approved.

• Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
• Receive category-specific approvals (Portfolio Analysis, Reporting, Investment Insights)
• Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform
• Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live portfolio engagements

No cold applications. No unpaid “experience.” Verified Portfolio Insights Analysts are actively promoted to fund managers, operators, and investors.

• Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
• Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
• Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Each analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

• Platform visibility and access to portfolio insight work
• Approved work categories
• Recommended hourly rates
