Finance Analyst

MCS Group are working with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT) to recruit a Finance Analyst to join its Financial Planning (Commissioning) team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate health and social care services by supporting high-quality financial planning, analysis and decision-making across the Trust. You will work closely with senior finance colleagues to support capital and revenue business cases, value-for-money initiatives, benchmarking exercises and financial analysis that directly support service development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation and financial analysis of Capital and Revenue business cases Assist with value-for-money studies, benchmarking and efficiency exercises Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial planning databases and reporting tools Provide financial analysis to support Service and Budget Agreements (SBAs), service level agreements and contract processes Support financial planning data collection, analysis and reporting for decision-making Assist with Research & Development (R&D) financial monitoring and reporting Engage with senior Trust staff, clinicians and professional managers to support financial planning activities Support financial reviews, appraisals, investigations and ad-hoc analytical projects

Essential Criteria :
Experience /

Qualifications:

4 years' relevant finance experience OR ATI (Accounting Technician) qualification (QCF Level
5) or equivalent with 2 years' relevant finance experience Skills & Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex financial and non-financial data Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work to deadlines and use initiative to identify problems and solutions Other:
