Overview

The Processing Coordinator II opportunity offers an experienced operations professional the chance to play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of routine and non‑routine transactions within a fast‑paced financial services environment. This position leverages deep knowledge of brokerage systems, processes, and regulations while serving as a trusted subject‑matter resource to peers and business partners.

The role emphasizes ownership of complex and escalated issues, collaboration across departments and with branches, and the ability to exercise sound judgment when activities fall outside standard procedures. In addition to core processing responsibilities, the position provides meaningful opportunities to informally lead through knowledge sharing, influence process improvements, and contribute to efficiencies that positively impact clients, financial advisors, and internal stakeholders—all while remaining an individual contributor.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a point of guidance for peers
, drawing on multiple information sources to assess impacts across systems and processes. Functions include verifying documentation for completeness, performing account adjustments and calculations for exceptions and corrections, and leading effective communication with financial advisors, internal headquarters associates, and vendors.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the brokerage industry and in‑depth knowledge of departmental and cross‑functional systems, processes, and procedures
, enabling the associate to support, advise, and inform others within and outside the area.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and informal leader
, proactively sharing knowledge, best practices, and solutions. Identifies process improvement opportunities and partners with leaders and peers to leverage resources and drive implementation.
  • Owns the resolution of escalated issues
, conducting in‑depth research, coordinating with internal business partners and/or external contacts, and working directly with branches to lead issues through to resolution.
  • Maintains working knowledge of multiple systems and processing guidelines and promotes consistency and accuracy through peer support and knowledge transfer.
  • Consistently meets performance standards while increasing contribution to departmental initiatives
, continuous improvement efforts, and team success.
  • Apply expertise and available resources to ensure processing is compliant with regulatory requirements, firm policies, and risk standards,
serving as a role model for adherence and quality
    .
  • Assists in identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities to simplify procedures and improve efficiencies for branch teams and the home office,
influencing change through insight and collaboration
    .
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across business areas, service providers, and vendors,
positively influencing outcomes through credibility, communication, and collaboration
    .
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree is preferred.
  • 3‑4 years relevant experience in an operations/processing position in the brokerage, banking or financial services industries is strongly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, team‑oriented environment, stay organized to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality to ensure department goals and deadlines are met or exceeded.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office tools and spreadsheets is required.
