Head of Audit; VP - Insurance

Bruin Financial has partnered with a leading insurance firm in Toronto who are seeking a Head of Audit focusing upon Financial & Insurance Risk. Joining a team of 10, the role will report directly into the Chief Auditor and have 3 direct reports. The successful incumbent sits within a global Internal Audit function, shaping audit coverage across Financial & Insurance Risk, influencing senior decision‑makers, and elevating the overall controls environment.

The role combines strategic oversight, hands‑on leadership of complex reviews, and the development of a high‑performing team.

• Seasoned audit or risk leader from an insurance background (ideally property and casualty).
• Approximately 15‑20 years of experience.
• Time spent at a Big 4 firm would be beneficial yet is not essential.

You’ll join an organisation with real scale, strong executive visibility, flexibility, development, and long‑term career growth.

• 50/50 split of working from home / in the office.
• Salary up to $225,000 plus benefits and bonus.
