This is a hybrid opportunity based 4 days in office and 1 day a week work from home.
Lifemark Health Group (“Lifemark”) is a diversified healthcare company in business since 1998 and has grown by acquisition over the past 20 years to include almost 400 facilities across Canada. Lifemark has facilities in nine provinces providing integrated health, employer services, medical assessments, and rehabilitation services across Canada. Lifemark employs over 5,000 clinical practitioners and client service support staff. Reporting to the CFO and being a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Senior Director, Commercial Finance serves as the primary finance business partner to Operations, delivering strategic insight and financial oversight across clinic operations and other business unit P&Ls.
YourKey Accountabilities Financial Forecasting and Analysis
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast future financial performance, identify trends, and analyze variances.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance, profitability, and efficiency, and recommend improvements to drive financial growth and sustainability.
- Provide data-driven and actionable insights from regular and ad-hoc analysis.
- Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes for Operations which align with organizational objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with department heads to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate budget preparation.
- Provide guidance and support in setting financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives, business opportunities, and potential risk.
- Provide insightful financial advice and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Prepare financial models and business cases for various business decisions including relocations, pricing, new contracts, etc.
- Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required
- Support the month-end close process to ensure accurate financial documents.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Meet with operations teams regularly to report on financial results.
- Actively participate as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, providing insights and leadership on the team.
- Serve as the first point of contact and main finance business partner for operations leadership teams.
- Participate regularly in meetings providing financial guidance and support as needed.
- Managing business expectations and setting priorities as appropriate.
- Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives.
- Mentor and coach team members in achieving their goals, provide feedback and address any performance issues.
- Continuously recommend and implement operational improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- MBA, CPA, CFA strongly preferred.
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A and Business partnering leadership role.
- Experience in a multi-location and/or healthcare services organization is highly desirable.
- Proven experience leading large-scale budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong background in financial modeling, providing value added insights and being able to “tell the story”
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence
- Expertise in Sage Accpac and reporting tools (Power BI, Vena, Power Query etc.).
