Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the risk of insuring applicants, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. We are looking for highly motivated, driven and successful individuals to join our team and foster growth. This position can be based anywhere in the United States as we offer remote positions to high producing Non-QM Underwriters!
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis to evaluate applicants' financial backgrounds and creditworthiness.
- Assess loan applications through detailed underwriting processes, ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
- Perform cash flow analysis to determine the financial viability of applicants.
- Engage in equity research to support decision-making processes regarding investments and loans.
- Utilize data collection techniques to gather relevant information for underwriting assessments.
- Implement fraud prevention detection measures to safeguard against potential risks.
- Collaborate with mortgage servicing teams to ensure smooth processing of loans and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations based on underwriting evaluations.
- Proven experience in underwriting, with a strong background in loan processing and financial services.
- Familiarity with cash flow analysis, credit analysis, and equity research methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound decisions based on findings.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention detection techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all assessments.
