Head of Finance; Housing

We’re looking for a Head of Finance for our housing/public sector client based in Northampton on an initial 4-month contract paying up to £500 per day inside IR35.

This role offers hybrid working, with up to 3 days per week working from home, depending on in-person meeting requirements.

The successful Head of Finance will provide strategic and operational finance leadership, delivering a full business partnering service across capital and revenue budgets.

You will need to hold a CCAB qualification (or equivalent) and demonstrate strong experience in senior finance roles within housing, ALMO, RSL or wider public sector environments.

The successful Head of Finance will possess proven skills working with the following –

• Monthly budget monitoring and stakeholder business partnering
• Detailed spend analysis and robust financial forecasting
• Preparation of Board, Audit and senior management reports
• KPI development and performance reporting
• Statutory accounts preparation and audit support
• Financial business planning, rent setting and cash flow management
• Driving efficiencies, financial control and continuous improvement
• Leading and developing finance teams
