The Virtual Finance Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial data along with ensuring compliance for their portfolio of clients. This is a remote position requiring strong client care, attention to detail and communication skills.
What you’ll doYour key day to day responsibilities will include:
Operations- Managing bookkeeping and regular checks to ensure the accuracy of the clients data.
- Processing payroll.
- Preparing or assisting with the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts and annual accounts.
- Handling credit control.
- Other client specific day to day tasks to maintain accurate financial records for our clients
- Exceptional client care
- Maintaining regular client communication.
- Ensuring a good flow of information with clients.
- Facilitating communication within your Pod and the wider Lodestar team.
- Monitoring and notifying admin about changes to client contact details to ensure the cleanliness of our data.
- Keeping Google Drive clean and up to date for your clients.
- Managing proposal rollovers.
This is a role with many elements, with the focus being on completing tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible, to ensure client records are maintained to the highest standard. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge and awareness of core accountancy processes, tax and payroll legislation
- Proficiency in relevant software and technologies ie Google workspace and Xero
- Good attention to detail to identify errors or gaps in information
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to be logical and structured in how you work, following processes and escalating when needed
- Responsiveness. You will be able to action email requests within 24 hours and manage the expectation of the client so that they are aware of the timescales.
- Ability to build strong relationships with your colleagues and your clients, so that everyone knows what is needed and enjoys working with you.
- Proactive, adaptable and uses initiative to get the job done.

Salary: £17,142-£19,285 (£24k-£27k FTE)
