Responsible to assist the Network Office in the contracting, licensing and registration of financial representatives, associate financial representatives and field staff for Northwestern Mutual, NMIS, and NLTC.Directs and administers contracting, licensing and registration requirements and processes. Assists in the resolution of technical problems. Maintains strict confidences and holds all information confidential. Communicates sensitive matters to the Managing Partner, Director of Network Office Supervision and/or the individual affected.
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Using Home Office systems, administer, input, track and follow-up on requirements and appropriate paperwork for contracting, licensing or registration of personnel. This includes new personnel, changes to existing personnel or termination of personnel.
- Provides information on the technical requirements of the contracting, licensing and registration process to appropriate personnel.
- Act as liaison between the Network Office and Home Office throughout the entire contracting, licensing and registration processes.
- Act as liaison between the Network Office and background investigation company for requesting and follow up of inspection reports.
Flag findings to the Managing Partner and/or Director of Network Office Supervision for determining appropriate action. - Act as liaison between the Network Office and the Insurance Departments for scheduling exams.
- Schedule and track licensing or registration education or exam requirements, to include continuing education, for industry or Home Office courses. Provide successful course completion information to the Home Office or outside vendors.
- As appropriate, facilitate and track requirements of non-resident licensing requirements.
- As needed, assist candidates throughout the NMIS Registration process
- Track Associated Persons in appropriate systems to identify new personnel, changes in existing personnel and terminations.
- BA/BS Required
- Knowledge of licensing and registration laws in the insurance and investment industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to develop and maintain rapport with professionals at all levels.
- Proven ability to independently set schedules and handle multiple priority assignments within strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy is essential.
