Overview
The Office of Financial Services seeks a full-time Treasury Analyst to support the university's Treasury Operations. The Analyst will work closely with a small, collaborative team within the Treasurer's Office focused on deposit management, banking and treasury services administration, customer service and day-to-day treasury operations.
The position is primarily focused on treasury operations but will offer opportunities to gain insight into other areas including investments, cash management, merchant services and bank reconciliation. The Analyst will provide operational support in a rewarding environment that helps further the mission of The Ohio State University.
Responsibilities- 50% - Deposit Management: serves as the primary teller for the university's central Cashiering Office providing in-person support and deposit services during hours of operation. Serves as the primary point of contact for other depository services including ordering of deposit supplies, management of the armored carrier program, liaison for university unit deposit needs or inquiries, provides education on deposit policies and communicates formal training requirements for fiscal roles across the enterprise that accept and deposit public funds.
- 20% - Banking Administration: Provides administrative services to support the university's banking relationships; services include but are not limited to bank account management, account maintenance requests, signer updates, online banking portal management (user account creation and maintenance), and bank fee analysis. Trains and supports university units on reporting, research, and remote deposit/lockbox viewing services provided within the banking portals. Attends and participates in banking partner meetings.
Serves as primary back-up support to the Senior Treasury Analyst. - 15% - Treasurer's Office Customer Service: Administers and monitors treasury department e-mail addresses and coordinates response and action on items received. Researches questions and solutions posed by departments and units. Works as additional customer service support to the merchant services and bank reconciliation teams.
- 10% - Treasury Operational Support: Serves as primary payment tracker/approver and banking liaison for university Hospital Self Insurance (HSI) program. Confirms quarterly financials for HSI and prepares annual 1099 data for financial partners. Processes invoices as needed. Prepares monthly reporting that supports presentations provided to the Treasurer and CFO. Supports investment operations and reporting for the University Operating Funds and for other separately invested portfolios as needed.
Assists in maintaining documentation for treasury processes and internal procedures. - 5% - Ad Hoc Projects/Assignments: Provides ad-hoc project support as needed.
This is an in-person role based at the Ohio State University's main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The team operates in office Monday through Thursday with remote work flexibility on Fridays.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; two (2) years of relevant experience in banking operations, treasury operations or financial management; experience using Excel; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with prudence and discretion.
Desired QualificationsCertified Treasury Professional (CTP); banking operations experience, expertise with Workday and/or commercial banking portals.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $55,700 to $72,700 per year.
