The Role:We are seeking a bright, diligent, and highly organised Portfolio Management Analyst to join our fast-paced lending team.
In this role, you will support the ongoing management, monitoring, and reporting of the loan portfolio, helping to ensure covenant compliance, accurate data management, proactive risk oversight, and effective coordination across portfolio, credit, and origination functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop expertise in real estate and development lending while playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of post-completion loan activities.
Responsibilities- Monitor and manage loan covenants and conditions subsequent, maintaining clear trackers and controls.
- Maintain the master portfolio schedule, ensuring loan expiries, amendments, and guarantees are accurately recorded.
- Monitor interest servicing and amortisation payments, reviewing repayment activity and performance.
- Undertake proactive red-flag monitoring and escalate emerging risks appropriately.
- Support portfolio monitoring meetings alongside senior asset management, documenting key actions and updates.
- Manage lease consent processes for commercial assets.
- Coordinate and track consents relating to easements, sub-stations, and other asset-specific requirements.
- Support and manage sales consent processes in line with loan documentation.
- Set up and maintain sales trackers at loan closing.
- Request and review monthly sales updates from borrowers.
- Monitor performance against agreed assumptions, reporting exchanges and completions accurately.
- Provide research and targeted support to the credit and origination teams.
- Assist with preparation of credit proposals and supporting documentation.
- Support loan extensions and amendments using template-based documentation where required.
- Manage the KYC process for pipeline loans, ensuring timely completion and accurate record keeping.
- Maintain and update CRM systems, ensuring portfolio and borrower information remains current.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio monitoring processes.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing multiple loans, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
You will demonstrate strong analytical and data management skills, with a proactive and risk-aware mindset.
A relevant degree or qualification within real estate lending, development finance, or asset management would be advantageous. Familiarity with CRM systems and portfolio tracking tools advantageous, but not necessary.
You will be a confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal teams and external counter parties, and able to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
