Responsibilities- Direct line-management of the Post-Award Research Finance team
- Work with the Research Office and others to enhance research award processes, facilitating smooth transfer of work to the team
- Development of monitoring and audit work to ensure compliance with funder requirements
- Development and production of reports to identify financial progress on projects and assess risk
- Maintenance of knowledge of changing funder guidance, and dissemination across team and Research Office
We are seeking a financially proficient colleague with knowledge of research pre- and post-award funder requirements and an interest in collaborating with others to develop and improve systems across several disciplines.
You will have:
- An appropriate accounting qualification (AAT or above) or be able to demonstrate significant experience operating at this level in Research Finance
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial experts
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to inspire and develop your team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus and will also involve working with colleagues at our Glenside and City campuses.
