We’re partnering with a large, publicly traded manufacturing organization with a strong national footprint and a collaborative, people-first finance team. This is a company that believes in developing talent from within, investing in systems, and giving high-potential individuals the mentorship and exposure needed to grow into leadership roles over time.

• Own cost accounting and financial oversight for a single manufacturing plant, serving as a key finance partner to plant leadership.

• Prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial reporting.

• Analyze plant-level performance, including cost trends, variances, and profitability drivers.

• Partner closely with operations and the plant manager through monthly reviews and ongoing financial discussions.

• Support payroll-related accounting and analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and booking payroll data.

• Extract, analyze, and interpret large data sets from a complex ERP environment to support decision-making.

• Assist with improving cost visibility and financial processes as systems and reporting capabilities continue to evolve.

• Contribute to shortening the month-end close timeline through process improvement and ownership.

• Participate in variance analysis, cost reclassifications, and plant-level P&L reviews.

• Collaborate with corporate accounting and finance leadership on broader initiatives and reporting needs.

• Clear long-term growth path with the opportunity to develop into an Assistant Controller role over time.

• At least 3 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or a related finance role.

• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.

• Experience analyzing plant-level financials, cost drivers, and operational variances.

• Comfort working in a large ERP environment; experience with Oracle or similar systems preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets, pivot tables, and lookups.

• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how the business operates beyond the numbers.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operations and leadership.

• Interest in long-term growth and internal advancement.
