Location: New York

Raider Hill is seeking an experienced Investments Associate to support the firm’s investment and advisory efforts. This position provides professional exposure internally across the firm’s fully integrated operating platform, as well as externally with clients, asset managers, and other market participants. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 4 years of relevant experience, exhibit professional maturity, exceptional organizational skills, an acute attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage and oversee projects.

We are seeking someone who understands the importance of technical skills and analysis, but is also able to represent the firm in sourcing new deals by building relationships within the real estate industry. This position reports to the Managing Director and is located in Company’s New York office.

Responsibilities Investments
  • Investment Plan:
    Develop a thorough understanding of a deal’s capital structure, business plan, and key drivers to investment performance.
  • Underwriting:
    Create detailed and complex financial underwriting models, cash flow analyses, and sensitivity analyses for the acquisition and development of real estate investments.
  • Due Diligence:
    Support the investments team throughout the due diligence process, including property inspections, lease analysis, and legal document review.
  • Presentation:
    Prepare and present investment memoranda and other relevant documentation to support decision-making processes.
Asset Management
  • Portfolio Management:
    Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate property-related investment strategies, as well as evaluate performance and progress towards key management initiatives.
  • Business Plan Monitoring:
    Track and incorporate feedback from property management, leasing, construction, development, accounting, legal, and other participants to inform underwriting and key decisions relating to asset-level business plans.
  • Compliance Oversight:
    Establish and implement protocols to ensure covenants and governance requirements are adhered.
  • Transactions Support:
    Assist with acquisition and disposition efforts, including preparing and managing data rooms, contract negotiation, liaising with clients, brokers, buyers and sellers, legal counsel, and other third parties.
Financial Analysis
  • Assist in the production of ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested.
Work Conditions
  • Nature of work requires ability to organize, communicate and exchange information as well as collect, compile, and prepare work documents while operating standard business office equipment.
  • Work is performed in a general office environment.
  • Work from Home is acceptable on Fridays.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required
Qualifications
  • 2 - 4 years of experience with interest in the retail real estate industry across North America. Previous experience in real estate investment banking or real estate private equity is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or similar are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and efficient with the proven ability to handle multiple projects, think creatively, and set priorities.
  • Keen attention to accuracy and detail while under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
  • Excellent technical skills and demonstrated working proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
