A growing financial and tax advisory firm serving entrepreneurial businesses and their owners is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to support continued expansion. This role is designed for a seasoned tax leader who thrives in a client-facing environment, values high-quality service, and enjoys mentoring teams while driving excellence across complex tax engagements. WhatYou’ll Do
- Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships
- Review tax returns, work papers, and technical issues to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with clients and tax authorities, advising on tax strategies and planning opportunities
- Deliver proactive and forward-looking tax planning solutions
- Interpret wills, trusts, and estate-related documents as part of tax engagements
- Analyze client-provided tax and financial data to optimize outcomes
- Research new tax laws, regulations, and emerging trends
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff, supporting professional growth and development
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and resources
- Communicate regularly with partners regarding engagement status and client matters
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Minimum of 10 years of tax consulting and compliance experience in public accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role leading client engagements and teams
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to independently manage and grow client relationships
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with team members
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency with tax and accounting software; experience with CCH Axcess and Engagement preferred
