Ageas Re is organized as a Business Unit within ageas SA/NV, the Group holding, on whose balance sheet it underwrites third-party and intra-group reinsurance under the trade name Ageas Re
.
- Process and validate reinsurance data received from ceding companies and brokers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Manage and reconcile technical accounts in SAP FS-RI, including premium and claims allocations.
- Calculate retrocession premiums and related technical accounts in line with the contractual terms, and assist in preparing relevant documentation such as statement of accounts.
- Arrange payments, monitor outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies with business partners.
- Effectively collect reinsurance recoveries.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial closing activities.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, providing clarification and follow-up on accounts, conditions, and payments with a solution-oriented approach.
- Collaborate with Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants, presenting reinsurance technical accounting matters clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, projects, and working groups.
- Solid understanding of (re) insurance principles and technical accounting practices.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a reinsurance company, insurance company, or broker environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP FS-RI is a strong plus.
- High accuracy in working with figures, a critical mindset to validate data, and technical mindset with a drive to improve processes and workflows.
- Strong interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Full professional proficiency in English. Spanish and/or German is a plus.
