Role OverviewInitio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Capital Planning Analysts.
This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.
Once approved, Capital Planning Analysts:
- Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
- Gain access to live capital planning mandates and paid analytical work
- Support fund managers, investors, and operators on cash flow management, capital allocation, and operational planning
- Build a verified fund/portfolio track record and Analyst Rating Score
Certification tiers:
- Senior Capital Planning Analyst
- Lead Capital Planning Analyst
- Capital Planning Analyst / Associate
Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background:
- Former private equity, corporate finance, fund operations, or strategic finance professionals with 5+ years of experience in capital planning, liquidity management, or portfolio operations
Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background:
- Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in fund operations, capital allocation, or strategic financial planning
Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background:
- Entry to mid-level analysts with strong modeling, forecasting, and analytical performance
Capital Planning Analysts are engaged based on category-specific approvals, earned through assessment and performance—not tenure.
Capital Planning & Cash Flow ManagementDevelop capital call and distribution forecasts for funds and portfolios
Model liquidity requirements, timing, and allocation across investments
Support scenario-based capital planning and contingency analysis
Evaluate capital efficiency and fund-level deployment strategies
Build and maintain fund or portfolio cash flow and three-statement models
Track portfolio-level KPIs, IRR, and performance metrics
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses for fund operations
Assist in risk management related to capital allocation and fund commitments
Reporting & LP SupportPrepare LP-facing capital planning reports and performance summaries
Support investment committees with fund-level planning insights
Assist in preparing strategic recommendations for capital deployment
Analysts may only perform work in categories for which they are explicitly approved.
How Analysts Start EarningComplete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
Receive category-specific approvals (Capital Planning, Modeling, Portfolio Operations)
Become verified on the Initio Sphere platform
Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live fund operations engagements

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
