• Degree qualification in accounting, finance or equivalent business qualification
• Completed or commitment to complete CPA or CA program
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a public practice
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Excel (intermediate-to-advanced level preferred)
• Demonstrated experience using accounting software (Xero and BGL
  360)
• Experience with the ATO Tax Agent Portal
• An understanding of the Australian Tax System
• An understanding of statutory financial obligations
• Excellent written business communication and reporting skills
• Demonstrated experience, ability and willingness to build and maintain strong working relationships – both externally and internally
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to meet agreed objectives

• Managing a portfolio of clients with assistance from other accountants within our team
• Providing consulting & advisory services to the existing client base and growing the client portfolio
• Review of tax returns & financial reports prepared by current staff
• Providing staff with feedback on areas of improvement
• Communication with clients professionally
• Build positive productive working relationships internally and externally
• Taxation consulting and compliance services
• Business services consulting, including superannuation
• Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for Trusts, Self-Managed Super Fund, Company's and Individuals
• Preparation of monthly BAS and IAS
• Business formation and structures, including financial and taxation advice on the businesses structure, plans and operations
• Advise on matters including the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers & acquisitions, capital financing, and taxation matters
• Examine and advise on clients' operating costs, income and expenditure
• Monthly and quarterly reporting as required
• Other adhoc duties as required from time to time
