Overview
Our PE-backed healthcare services client is seeking a hands-on Interim CFO to stabilize financial reporting, elevate analytical insight, and lead the finance function through a pending transaction. This role requires an operational CFO who is comfortable working in the details and partnering closely with executive leadership and PE partners.
This is a high-impact interim engagement for an operator CFO who thrives in ambiguity and can quickly restore confidence in financial data ahead of a PE transaction.
ResponsibilitiesStabilize and enhance financial reporting and analytics (MoM, YoY, budget vs. actual, product and service-line performance) to deliver accurate, decision-ready insights
Drive hands-on process improvement across accounting and finance, including working capital and A/R optimization
Assess and elevate the finance organization, strengthening accountability, controls, and core processes
Provide disciplined pricing, margin, and profitability analysis to support better decision-making
Lead finance support for a PE-backed transaction, including diligence readiness and data transparency
Proven experience as a hands-on CFO within PE-backed healthcare services organizations ($50M+ revenue preferred)
Prior sale-side transaction experience (PE environment)
Strong accounting foundation with demonstrated ability to fix reporting, analytics, and data integrity
Experience supporting multi-service-line businesses
Executive-level communication skills; comfortable partnering directly with PE sponsors
Availability to commit 3–6 months
EST or CST preferred;
occasional travel required
