BMW Financial Services/Alphabet is looking for a Credit Specialist who looks beyond just numbers. You analyze risks, identify opportunities and contribute to a solid credit policy that allows our business to grow safely and sustainably.
Your roleAs Credit Specialist, you are responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring credit risks. You combine analytical sharpness with a pragmatic approach and ensure that signals are recognized in time and translated into concrete actions. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to the stability and growth of our activities in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Tasks and responsibilities- Maintain and further develop the local Credit Management Guideline.
- Design and implement an Early Warning System to detect risks early.
- Assess creditworthiness of customers, including fleet customers and dealers in Belgium and Luxembourg.
- Prepare and present credit applications to both local and international committees.
- Consult with head office on complex files and help think of appropriate solutions.
- Propose improvements that strengthen the balance between credit management and commercial objectives.
- Identify inefficiencies and digitize processes where possible.
- Become an internal expert in credit rating systems and best practices.
- You have a master's degree in business economics or equivalent experience.
- You have at least two years of relevant work experience in credit management, audit, accounting or risk management.
- You have strong accounting skills to review financial statements.
- You combine analytical acumen with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- You have strong skills in Excel; knowledge of VBA or macros is a definite asset.
- You work independently, but are also a real team player who encourages cooperation.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English and can communicate complex material clearly.
