This role offers the freedom to work fully remotely, while still giving you the option to be based in the Hermanus or greater Cape Town area if you prefer a hybrid or in‑person connection.

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, reporting and analysis for Kingsgate’s clients. You will support effective financial decision‑making through reliable bookkeeping, reporting, budgeting and compliance processes.

• Monthly Bookkeeping

• Capture invoices and bank transactions
• Perform monthly reconciliations (cash book, creditors, debtors)
• Submit monthly returns (VAT, payroll taxes, pension fund returns)
• Process payroll runs using Brightpay

• Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts
• Support year‑end accounts, tax computations and audits
• Draft year‑end financial statements (Caseware)

• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
• Support departments with cost management
• Monitor and report on budget performance

• Annual Returns & Compliance
• Submit annual HMRC tax returns
• Submit Companies House returns
• Submit annual payroll returns to HMRC

• Part‑qualified or qualified SAIPA Accountant
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant

• Caseware financial statement compilation
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards
• Experience working with UK‑based clients

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

• Adaptable, with a willingness to learn and embrace new systems
