Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our team at Southeast Mortgage of Georgia, Inc. This hybrid role is based in Duluth, GA, with opportunities for remote work. The assistant will support loan officers by managing client relationships, collecting and organizing loan documentation, communicating with clients to answer questions, and ensuring timely submission of loan applications. Additionally, the assistant will collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve successful and efficient loan closings.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in assisting Loan Officers and a solid understanding of the Mortgage Industry
  • Must know how to calculate income for FHA, VA, and Conventional product types.
  • Strong Customer Service skills to engage and support clients effectively
  • Experience with Underwriting processes to facilitate accurate and efficient loan processing
  • Exceptional Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance in the mortgage industry
  • Proficiency in mortgage processing software Encompass and MS Office Suite
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or business is a plus
