Opportunity

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager to join the Hospitality team in our Client Accounting Advisory practice. This is a hybrid remote position that may require occasional presence at a Cohn Reznick office for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

The Client Accounting Advisory Team is a rapidly growing division. We partner with clients to perform accounting, advisory, and technology services, including books & records, financial close, tax filings, virtual controller/CFO services, and technology solution development.

YOUR ROLE
  • Lead and oversee the Hospitality accounting team, ensuring client execution and timely delivery.
  • Perform and assist with complex accounting services for clients independently.
  • Lead global team, provide guidance and training on accounting principles, handle client and internal inquiries, and seek cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Manage teams and clients, meeting performance goals, delivering monthly financials, developing skills, and working within budget and time parameters.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, proactive communications, and timely billings and accounts receivable management.
  • Use technology to ensure quality control procedures are executed, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention, and team‑building activities.
  • Conduct yourself professionally, show respect, follow AICPA regulations and state society ethics, and maintain compliance with firm and local office policies.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CPA license a plus.
  • 3+ years of Hospitality industry experience.
  • Proven ability to drive and lead corporate accounting processes such as cash management, AR/AP, month‑end close, payroll, and benefits.
  • Strong GAAP experience and hands‑on controllership functions related to consolidations, GL close, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Hospitality experience and strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Quick Books, Net Suite, R365, and Sage Intacct experience preferred.
  • Strong project and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail; action‑oriented, self‑starter, team player.
  • Must handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Significant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions; strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
Compensation

In Illinois, the salary range for an Advisory Manager is $110,000 to $180,000, dependent on skills, experience, and location. Compensation includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded parental benefits, and access to best‑in‑class learning and development platforms.
