We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Revenue Accountant who is eager to make an impact and grow within a dynamic, rapidly expanding company. The Senior Revenue Accountant will focus on revenue accounting activities, ensure compliance with ASC 606, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing procedures. This position offers opportunities to own and enhance revenue accounting processes while making a meaningful impact in a dynamic, high-growth SaaS organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and perform monthly financial close processes with a heavy emphasis on revenue recognition and ASC 606 to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules with a primary focus on revenue, deferred revenue, AR-related entries, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and analyze revenue reporting, including trends, variances, and SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, churn, deferred revenue)
- Provide financial analysis and variance support to management, offering actionable insights for decision‑making.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare for audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Thrive in ambiguous situations, making informed decisions with limited information, adapting to changing priorities, and driving progress despite uncertainty
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in revenue accounting;
SaaS experience strongly preferred. - Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis.
- Experience supporting month end close/year-end close processes.
- Highly detail‑oriented, with a passion for accuracy and process optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally across departments.
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite or similar) is a plus.
- CPA certification is a plus, with preference given to candidates who hold or are actively pursuing this credential
The salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc.
