Director, Financial Operations

Our client is a commercial jet portfolio company. They seek a Director of Finance Operations to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Design, implement, and refine financial processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business goals
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards
• Implement and maintain financial systems, tools, and automation solutions
• Prepare operational performance reports and present actionable insights to team leaders
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized documentation and compliance
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate financial terms as needed
• Coach and develop junior team members to build a high-performing operations function

• 7-8 years of relevant experience
• Private or combo experience
• Working at a publicly traded company is preferred
• Need experience leading/creating new processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
