Overview
As a leading Managing General Agent experiencing continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Administrator to oversee premium collections, reconcile cash, manage overdue broker accounts, resolve queries, and allocate payments. The Finance Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability, liquidity, and profitability of Commercial Express. Within this department, the credit control function is central to improving cash flow, minimising financial risk and ensuring brokers pay in a timely manner and taking further action when needed.

- Debt Management:
Monitor ledgers, pursue overdue premiums, and escalate aged debt as required. - Cash Allocation:
Process and allocate incoming payments promptly; investigate unallocated balances. - Reconciliation:
Maintain accurate broker ledgers and resolve discrepancies and reconciliation of insurer Bordeaux's. - Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams to address queries and disputes. - Reporting:
Assist in preparing credit control reports. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to credit control procedures and maintain accurate records. - Typical Duties:
Process payments and support the month-end close. - Resolve account-related queries and manage documentation.
- Maintain regular contact with brokers to ensure timely payments.
- Ideally, previous experience of working within an insurance environment.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective negotiation capability.
- Ability to be firm yet friendly.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
